Oak beams
A sympathetic restoration of original oak ceiling beams across a characterful period home. Birmingham Sandblasting used a carefully controlled, gentle cleaning approach to lift layers of dark stain and ingrained grime while respecting the aged timber, bringing out a lighter natural tone and the grain that gives each room its character.

What was needed
The work covered exposed oak beams in the kitchen, living spaces and bedrooms. Surfaces were assessed room by room, surrounding finishes were protected, and the existing dark coating and accumulated dirt were removed with measured abrasive cleaning rather than aggressive blasting. The beams were left clean, even and ready for the client’s chosen finishing treatment.
