Privacy policy
This policy explains how Birmingham Sandblasting handles information submitted through this website. The legal entity and controller address require owner confirmation before launch; privacy enquiries can currently be sent to info@birminghamsandblasting.co.uk.
Information we collect
We collect the contact details, postcode, project type, service selection and message you submit. If you attach photographs, we also process those image files and associated technical metadata. Basic first-party analytics may record visits and page interactions without using them as project submissions.
Why we use it
We use enquiry information to understand the requested work, contact you, prepare or discuss a quotation, keep a record of the request, protect the website from abuse and improve the enquiry journey. Optional marketing consent is separate and unticked by default.
WhatsApp interaction measurement
When you choose to open a WhatsApp conversation, we record that interaction in our private operations dashboard, together with the website page, any UTM campaign labels present in the URL, and a referrer origin and path where available. Referrer queries and fragments are discarded. We do not store the WhatsApp message, your name, phone number, email address, postcode, enquiry content or photographs as part of this event.
Advertising measurement
If you choose “Allow measurement”, we load Google Ads and Analytics tags to measure visits from Google ads, completed quote requests and eligible calls made through a Google forwarding number. We do not send your name, email address, telephone number, postcode, enquiry message or photographs in the website conversion event. Advertising measurement is optional, separate from marketing contact consent, and can be declined without affecting the quote form.
How information is stored
Enquiry records and first-party interaction events are stored in the managed application database. Uploaded photographs are stored in managed object storage and linked to the enquiry. The project owner receives an operational notification when a submission is accepted. Credentials are held server-side and are not exposed in browser code.
Sharing and retention
Information is shared only with service providers needed to host, secure and operate the site, and with relevant people handling your enquiry. Retention periods should be confirmed by the business before launch; data should not be kept longer than needed for the enquiry, legal obligations or legitimate business records.
Your choices and rights
You can decline optional marketing and advertising measurement. You may ask for access, correction or deletion where applicable by emailing info@birminghamsandblasting.co.uk. You may also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Photographs
Do not upload confidential documents or images containing unnecessary personal information. Submitted photographs are used to assess the enquiry and are not automatically published as marketing or project content.
