A traditional brick outbuilding was carefully refreshed by removing a failing painted finish and uncovering the character of the original red brick. Birmingham Sandblasting focused on controlled, gentle surface restoration so the masonry remained intact while the building regained a clean, period-appropriate appearance.

What was needed
Assess and protect the outbuilding before taking back the deteriorating paint with a carefully selected low-impact abrasive process. Work across the brick faces and joints in controlled passes, removing loose coating and surface residue without needlessly eroding the masonry. Finish with a detailed clean-down and inspection to leave the exposed brick ready for any future repointing, repairs or breathable protective finish.
