External Building Restoration with Gentle Soda Blasting

Birmingham Sandblasting refreshed an aged external building by carefully lifting embedded grime, weathering and redundant paint from its elevations and details. The low-impact soda process was selected to brighten the structure while respecting the underlying substrate, leaving a cleaner, more presentable finish ready for any follow-on repairs or decoration.

What was needed

How the surface was prepared.

The restoration covered the accessible external building surfaces, including painted and weathered areas around the openings and façade details. Work was planned as a controlled, low-pressure clean rather than an aggressive abrasive blast: loose contamination and surface coatings were removed progressively, vulnerable edges and surrounding areas were treated with care, and the cleaned substrate was left consistent for inspection and next-stage maintenance.
