Oak beams
Gentle surface restoration refreshed the exposed oak structure within this contemporary barn conversion. The cleaned beams and roof trusses now show a warmer honey tone and clearer natural grain, creating a crisp, characterful contrast with the vaulted plaster ceilings while preserving the feel of the original timber frame.

What was needed
We carefully prepared the visible oak beams and trusses throughout the barn interior, removing ingrained dirt, surface discolouration and tired residues without treating the timber aggressively. Work was carried out with controlled, timber-sensitive methods to retain the beam profiles and detailing, leaving an even, clean surface ready for the owner’s chosen protective finish.
