A careful exterior clean brought renewed warmth and definition to this Victorian red-brick building. Birmingham Sandblasting used a controlled, low-impact surface-restoration approach to lift weather staining and accumulated grime while respecting the character of the original masonry, decorative stained glass and period sash windows. The result is brighter, more even brickwork that allows the building's historic details to stand out again.

What was needed
How the surface was prepared.
The project covered multiple elevations of the Victorian brick exterior, with access provided by scaffolding. Work focused on removing weathering, staining and surface dirt from the red brick and mortar without unnecessarily abrading the substrate. Original stained-glass and sash-window features were treated as sensitive areas, with careful protection and detailing around their surrounds. The cleaned masonry was left visually consistent and ready for any follow-on repairs or finishing work required by the owner.
