Brick Cleaning After Extension Removal

After a side extension was removed, the newly exposed gable wall needed careful cleaning to sit naturally alongside the original house brickwork. Birmingham Sandblasting used a controlled, gentle restoration approach to lift mortar residue, surface staining and weathering while preserving the character of the bricks and joints. The result is a cleaner, more coherent elevation ready for the next stage of the property works.

What was needed

How the surface was prepared.

Assess the exposed gable wall and surrounding masonry; protect adjacent finishes and vulnerable areas; carry out low-impact brick cleaning in controlled passes; reduce mortar marks, staining and accumulated weathering without unnecessarily abrading the face of the brick; then inspect the cleaned elevation for consistency with the retained original masonry and leave the area tidy.
