A careful surface restoration of a Tudor-style farmhouse and its twin-gabled outbuildings, bringing weathered oak framing back into focus alongside the character of the brickwork. The work was planned to lift aged coatings and grime gently, retaining the tool marks, grain and patina that give this historic rural property its identity.

What was needed
Prepare and clean the exposed timber frame and associated brick surfaces across the farmhouse and outbuildings using controlled, low-impact restoration methods. Remove surface dirt, failing finishes and discolouration without eroding sound oak or damaging the surrounding masonry, then leave the timber ready for sympathetic finishing and ongoing protection.
