A careful restoration of a sandstone wall whose natural colour had been obscured by accumulated dirt and grime. The restoration team used a controlled, gentle cleaning approach to lift surface soiling while respecting the texture and character of the stone, leaving the wall brighter, clearer and ready to be enjoyed again.

What was needed
Clean the sandstone wall across the affected elevations, using measured surface-cleaning techniques suited to natural stone. Work progressively from the initial soiled condition through controlled cleaning, checking the finish as the wall was revealed and avoiding unnecessarily aggressive abrasion. The completed surface was left visibly fresher, with the sandstone's natural tone and masonry detail restored.
