A weathered log cabin was carefully refreshed to bring back the warmth and character of its timber exterior. Using a controlled, gentle surface-cleaning approach, Birmingham Sandblasting removed built-up algae, grime and grey weathering without compromising the cabin's hand-hewn appearance. The restored logs now show a brighter, more natural tone while retaining the relaxed character of this woodland retreat.

What was needed
How the surface was prepared.
The work covered the exposed log-cabin exterior, including the principal wall elevations and associated timber details. Surface deposits, biological growth, ingrained dirt and weather-darkened layers were lifted progressively with carefully regulated media and pressure. The surrounding structure was treated with respect throughout, with the finish prepared for the owner's preferred protective or decorative treatment.
