A pair of characterful oak garage doors was gently restored within a warm red sandstone outbuilding. Careful low-pressure surface cleaning lifted the dark, weathered appearance while respecting the timber and its circular porthole detailing, bringing back a lighter natural oak tone that sits beautifully against the stone surround.

What was needed
Prepare and protect the surrounding sandstone and door details; use controlled ultra-low-pressure microstrip cleaning to remove accumulated darkening and surface weathering from the oak; work carefully around the porthole windows, joints and edges; finish with a consistent, clean timber surface ready for the owner's chosen protective treatment.
