A considered restoration of oak garage doors and an oak porch door, bringing tired, coated timber back to a clean, natural appearance. Birmingham Sandblasting used a controlled, timber-conscious surface-cleaning approach to lift the aged finish without sacrificing the character of the oak, then prepared the doors for a protective re-treatment.

What was needed
Restore the visible oak faces and detailed door surfaces, including removal of the existing finish and accumulated weathering, careful cleaning around joints and profiles, and preparation for a new protective treatment. The work covered both the garage doors and the separate porch door, with the emphasis on even, gentle preparation rather than aggressive blasting.
