A heritage cast iron radiator was carefully brought back to a clean, characterful finish for a commercial property. Birmingham Sandblasting used a controlled, gentle restoration process to lift tired paint and surface rust while respecting the radiator's original detailing, leaving the metal ready for a suitable protective finish.

What was needed
The work covered the radiator's cast iron sections, fins and decorative edges, where historic paint build-up and surface corrosion had dulled the original form. The surface was prepared progressively with measured blasting and close visual checks, avoiding harsh over-working of the metal. Once clean and sound, the radiator was left evenly prepared for priming, repainting or another appropriate finishing system.
