A weathered holiday lodge was given a carefully controlled exterior refresh, bringing its horizontal log cladding back to a clean, warm and natural appearance. Gentle surface restoration lifted years of grey weathering, ingrained dirt and contamination while retaining the character of the timber grain.

What was needed
The work covered the lodge's external horizontal log cladding. Surfaces were assessed and protected before a low-impact blasting approach was used to remove discolouration and surface build-up without treating the timber like heavy industrial steel. The cleaned cladding was then checked for an even finish, ready for the owner's chosen protective treatment.
