How the surface was prepared.
The work covered the exposed oak ceiling joists and timber framing, together with the stone inglenook and its surrounding fireplace surfaces. Birmingham Sandblasting used a low-impact, carefully managed cleaning approach suited to historic interiors: removing surface discolouration and accumulated deposits, working around delicate joints and masonry, and revealing a clean, even base without aggressive abrasion. The restored surfaces were left ready for the client’s chosen finishing and maintenance treatment.
